About us
Castlerock Manor is the home of Frank Michel, a Josh and John Lyons Certified Horse Trainer. He lives here with his wife Patricia, and their children.
Background.
​Castlerock Manor is located approximately one and a half miles West of Ringoes, New Jersey and two miles East of the Delaware River (Bucks Co. Pennsylvania). It is located on 30 beautiful acres of fenced pastures and surrounded by tree rows giving privacy and serenity.
Frank grew up on a ranch in a rural area of California. As a boy he always watched westerns and dreamed of becoming a Sheriff in the wild west. His dad would occasionally take him to his cousin's ranch where they would ride horses, BBQ, and enjoy the outdoors. When Frank got older, he fulfilled part of his dream and became a Police Officer in Southern California. As a Police Officer, Frank always tried to help people and make a difference in our society. After, 20 years, Frank retired and moved to the East Coast, where he met his wife, Patricia.
Together, they created their dream farm outside Ringoes, New Jersey. Patricia suggested to Frank that he should fulfill the rest of his dream and become a horse trainer so he could train their horses personally since they had so many. Patricia had met John Lyons at horse expos and liked his training methods. After doing their research, they came to the conclusion that the Lyons Certification was the elite of horse training.
Relationship with Josh and John Lyons.
Frank met Josh Lyons at the Pennsylvania Horse Expo and knew instantly that he wanted to be Certified by Josh Lyons. After spending many months in Colorado with the Lyon's family, Frank became a certified Trainer and Clinician. Through his hard work and many hours with Josh and John, Frank developed the skills to train horses and help people better understand their horse through conditioned response techniques. Frank is proud to claim John and Josh Lyons as personal friends and maintains close contact with the Lyon's family.
